Ok, so I may seem to be blowing my own trumpet a bit, but I wanted to include these films on my inspiration page. VWP was formed to enable businesses of any size to get involved with film. It really is one of the most potent marketing tools a business can have in engaging and exciting customers and the folks at Baltzersen’s are ahead of the game in so many ways. With a film you can very clearly and precisely show your customers your message whilst having fun and being creative.
You cannot deny the hype around the Christmas advert, and this year, brands seem to have stepped up a notch in the war for the most sparkle and sentiment. All the stats show, we are now viewing the majority of our TV and film content online, and this creates a kind of level playing field for any business to be seen. Of course there will still be the major advertising slots at 7.45 in-between Corrie and the like but we knew the day would come when this would start to even out. If you get butterflies on seeing the big red lorry sparkling down the lane to the hum of ‘holidays are coming…’ then why not create the same excitement for your own business?
One thing won’t change though, imagine you, as a customer watching a well made, stylish and creative film about a business, product or service. You will know a lot of effort went into telling you their story and it means a lot to that business you believe and trust in their brand. Whatever they are telling you, you listen more intently and if you don’t engage there and then, the chances are you will later, because you are impressed with them and their vision.
Am I right? Leave me a comment, I’d really love to hear what you think.
I tend to post things that amuse and impress me – of course! This does both. I just love the bemusement when they first realise what is happening.
I can only imagine their busses were really late or the guy in the van had a quicker machine than mine!
“If you’re still trying to convince someone in your company to sign off on a video campaign, try some of these four compelling reasons.”
• You Can Use It Anywhere
• It Helps You Stand Out
• Re-purposing Content
• It’s Easy To Track
Ok, so I’ve been feeling grumpy – then I saw this and my heart melted…
Another hero of mine – looking back at some of my animation work, I can see very clear references to his. I wish I had met him!
“I want everything we do to be beautiful. I don’t give a damn whether the client understands that that’s worth anything, or that the client thinks it’s worth anything, or whether it is worth anything. It’s worth it to me. It’s the way I want to live my life. I want to make beautiful things, even if nobody cares.” ~Saul Bass
Now, if any clients are reading this – I’m not necessarily agreeing with the not giving a damn bit, but I understand the meaning in this statement. I want to make beautiful things too!
One of my favourite title sequences he did below for It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World:
and I found this gem, Sale Of Manhattan, on YouTube:
What is it about cooling towers that is so blooming fascinating? The enormity of the things? The slightly scary purpose? Or the moustache??
I love love love this film…..
If you fancy 8 minutes of beautiful heartbreak – then look no further. Utterly stunning piece of animation.
Look at this……
….again, the music isn’t my cuppa tea, but blimey I adore the real-time graphics. I bet we’ll see a lot more of this style of interactive graphics from now on!
We are full steam ahead with our Hippotizer training, for Boiling Frog The Musical, incorporating our own ideas for real-time motion graphics on stage.
(perhaps Beyonce’s was also done with the Hippotizer!!)
So no pressure then! *gulp*
